On October 18, the Mental health Education and counseling Service Center of college students of the Ministry of Education and Work conducted a mental health survey on more than 4100 freshmen of 2009 in the information teaching center of the school。Wang Qi, vice minister of the student work Department, three teachers from the psychological counseling center and freshmen counselors from some departments participated in the psychological survey。The contents of the survey include the College Student Personality Questionnaire (UPI) and the 90-item Symptom Checklist (SCL-90). The results of the psychological survey will be kept strictly confidential and have no impact on the students' award evaluation, party membership and employment。    

In order to carry out the psychological survey smoothly, the psychological counseling center made careful preparations. Before the survey began, volunteers disinfected all the computer rooms and opened all the doors and Windows to ensure ventilation. After everything was ready, the survey began at 8 o 'clock on time。Under the guidance of counselors, class substitutes or class monitors, all freshmen came to the Information Teaching Center to take the test according to the time order notified in advance. Under the effective guidance of the senior and 30 volunteers and the active cooperation of the students, the census work was carried out efficiently and in good order。The waiting students are not anxious, the test students are focused, and the students who finish leaving are quiet and orderly。The all-day survey, which began at 8 a.m. and ended at 4 p.m., went smoothly, thanks to the technical support of the Information Teaching Center, the strong assistance of 30 student volunteers to the teachers, and the effective organization of the departments。    

Psychological survey is a very important work in our school's mental health education, we will neither ignore the data of psychological detection scale, nor completely rely on these data。The mental health survey of freshmen and the establishment of mental health files are helpful for the school to comprehensively and objectively analyze and grasp the mental health status of freshmen, improve the pertinency and effectiveness of mental health education, and then help all freshmen adapt to college life as soon as possible, laying a solid foundation for four years of college life。Freshmen have just entered the university after the struggle of the college entrance examination, and their lifestyle, learning style, interpersonal relationships, and life goals may face huge adjustments, which is in itself a great challenge to their psychological ability, and is easy to cause some psychological troubles and troubles。By using scientific standardized scale to test students, schools can detect, intervene and control students' psychological problems in an early stage。  

The successful completion of the psychological survey activities will help students understand the performance of psychological problems, enhance the awareness of mental health care, and also enable students to better understand their psychological status quo。The psychological counseling center will sort out and analyze the results of the census as soon as possible, and further carry out targeted mental health education and counseling services on this basis!
