In order to comprehensively understand the overall and individual status of mental health of students in our school in 2013,Enhance students' mental health awareness,Improve the pertinence and effectiveness of mental health education,10月19日,The Mental Health Education and Counseling Service Center (hereinafter referred to as the center) conducted a mental health survey of more than 4300 freshmen in 2013 in the computer room of the Basic experimental Teaching Center of the School of Information Engineering。
In this survey, two scales were selected: the 90-item Symptom Self-Rating Scale (SCL-90) and the Cattell 16 Personality Test for College Students (16PF)。These two scales can not only obtain the mental health data of freshmen, but also help students strengthen their self-cognition。Before the test, the teachers and student assistants of the center explained the purpose, significance and test requirements of the mental health survey to the freshmen in detail, and gave serious and patient answers to the doubts of the freshmen during the test。
Freshman mental health survey is the beginning of mental health education work, it is very important to accurately understand and grasp the freshman mental health status and characteristics。The center will sort out and analyze the census data, establish and improve the "university students' psychological status database" and "university students' psychological files", form a census report, and carry out various work of freshman mental health education and counseling services according to the census results, to help freshmen adapt to college life as soon as possible。
