In order to further popularize mental health knowledge and improve students' self-cognition ability, the Mental Health Education and Counseling Service Center of the Ministry of Education and Work conducted a psychological assessment activity of "The Impact of social comparison on emotions" at 418 College students' Activity Center on the afternoon of 19th and 20th。More than 300 students from 15 departments participated in the test under the guidance of teachers from the counseling center。

Social comparison is a common and influential social interaction process in daily life. When people measure their own social characteristics (such as ability, intelligence, etc.) in real life, they usually unconsciously compare with the people around them, and obtain certain meaning from this comparison, and then generate corresponding emotions。For example, college students from families with different economic conditions often show a bipolar phenomenon through this social comparison, the rich are showing off, the poor are jealous, one end is flamboyant, conceited, arrogant and impetuous, the other end is dull, low self-esteem, depression and vanity, which are not the sound personality we expect。Therefore, the main purpose of this activity is to help students objectively understand the impact of social comparison on their emotions, enhance their awareness of regulating their emotions, and provide further theoretical and data support for the emotional guidance of college students in our school。

This assessment includes five parts: emotional pre-test, cognitive flexibility test, social comparison test, core self-assessment test and emotional assessment test。The test uses professional psychology software and is completed through computer operation, which also subverts many students' understanding of psychological testing。In real life，Many college students are very interested in psychological tests，And have done many interesting psychological tests on the Internet，But not only did non-specialized tests fail to improve students' self-knowledge，Sometimes it will mislead the students' psychology，因此，Only through professional psychological assessment can students better understand themselves and improve themselves。

After the test, many students surrounded the teachers of the psychological counseling center to ask about the relevant knowledge of the test, showing their enthusiasm and strong interest in this activity。The students who participated in the test said that the activity was not only new and fun, but also highly sensitive。The psychological counseling center will also conduct in-depth sorting and analysis of the assessment data in the following time, and on this basis, conduct lectures and other activities to help students learn to correctly attribute, better improve bad emotions, and comprehensively improve their mental health level。
